My workshops at Omega have been amazing. It is so incredible to see each individual, and the community, tap into their innate creative power and make things from the heart. The Art Hut - which keeper of the AH Ben, would like to rename the Art Studio for a little more serious intent - has been filled with the most lovely energy this year. Not so serious as focused and unafraid to explore. This is such an exciting energy and container in which to work.
Before each class I smudge the space and set an intention. Last year I did a lot of drumming and chanting of the space, which I haven't really gotten into as much this year. I'm personally feeling a lot more loose and open. So much so that I've been able to dive into my own creations alongside everyone else. Usually I need more quiet and personal space in which to create. But this has opened up and I'm happy to let it go and tap into the communal spirit.
Here's what I've been teaching this year: Magic Medicine Rattles (an Omega fave!), Heart of Creation (a shamanic art experience), Threaded Needles (The Yoga of Fiber Arts: Knit, Sew, Crochet), Wildcrafting (hunting, gathering and art making), Make Your Mark (personal mark making and intention).
When I return from Omega I will begin to post these workshops here on the blog to inspire you, too!
