String Theory has finally found a home - for a month or so. Riot - a NY/LA editing house is the perfect venue: a hallway flanking editing bays with wall space, and a brick wall as anchor at the end.
I will be incorporating some of Bead Meditation, its companion project. And I'm really excited to see the work come together in this way.
I love that this installation links two parts of my life, that of advertising copywriter and visual artist.
Larry spent most of his weekend trying to get our printer to work for two photos from prayingproject I wanted to frame and use in the exhibition. Then, hours trying to edit a video of the performance.
More about that arduous task when I have a bit more distance. On to price lists and accompanying materials.
As usual, I'm pulling things together on the fly. Opportunities always present at challenging moments. I'm off to Omega for a 2 week residency at end of week. So pulling this together before I leave is going to be a testament to speed and flexibility, two remants of my early training days as a retail copy cub that serve me well in art and life.
