one of my favorite go to sites Art for Housewives is keeping me busy, happy and inspired this morning.
I've been collecting credit cards for years, and ran across this via AFH this morning.
But what I'm most excited about is saving a pair of favorite boots with this inspired tutorial. The boots have been sitting in the mud room looking extremely forlorn. I can't bear to part with them but they are too nasty to wear anywhere but to the compost bin, and even at that, with all the holes in the leather, they are less boot than on their way to being sandals. But now I have a plan. And that makes me happy.
Though I'd deemed this the year of buying nothing, I have found myself in a few thrift stores for retail therapy. And still moving things out of the house a wee bit at a time. Experimenting with the experience of throwing things out. But the boots? Just can't do it. Love em way too much.
And why part with what brings you joy. Especially if there is an art/craft project involved.
Other things I am saving these days. Date pits. Beautiful. Trader Joe's has some of the most delicious dates I've ever tasted. Larry and I are hooked. And the pits are just beautiful. Earrings? A necklace? Maybe just a bowl full of pits. Stay tuned. And let me know what you are up to.
May the Magic Medicine be with you.
